The Yak-50 is a relatively rare aircraft in the US and we are lucky to have two of them in the San Francisco Bay area. It is about 1/3 less weight than the Yak-52 with the same engine and often a 3-bladed prop. The flat-bottomed wing and more fully retracted gear makes this plane a great dogfighter.
